I became student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the university Vysoka Skola Banska - Technical University of Ostrava (VSB-TUO) in 2005. Later in the studies I chose major applied mechanics.
Applied mechanics is taught by Department of Mechanics of Materials (home website in Czech) and Department of Mechanics (home website in Czech).
At the bachelor degree level are taught general subjects of rigid bodies (Statics, Dynamics, Vibration Diagnostics, Basics of Experimental Mechanics) and from the other department there are such subjects as Mechanics of Materials, Finite Element Methods and others mostly related to FEM and its application.
Students go through various software but the most significant for the major is Ansys naming all the areas it covers would be wasting of time. The ones who know Ansys know its posibilities the ones who don't please visit the Ansys website.
